Korean alphabet: how Hangul becomes readable blocks

Published 29 August 2026 · DeckLearn Editorial Team · Reviewed by DeckLearn Australia

Hangul is the Korean writing system. Begin with 14 basic consonants and 10 basic vowels, then combine them into syllable blocks.

Use romanisation only as temporary support. Direct Hangul recognition should become the goal.

This is the first Korean article in the Australia blog because Korean is now an active product in the local catalogue.
